Free calculators and a logbook for pilots

About Winghours

Winghours began as the logbook we wanted for ourselves: one that opens in a browser, keeps your flights on your own device and can be read and exported at any time. Around it sit the small calculators that pilots reach for before and after a flight: crosswind and wind correction, an E6B, density and pressure altitude, true airspeed, weight and balance, weather decoders, time conversion, night time and recent-experience checks. Each one has its own page, shows the working behind its answer and is tested against values worked out independently of the code.

Who runs it

Winghours is owned and operated by SKYSEED TECH LLC. Write to us at support@winghours.com.

Where your data lives

Everything runs in your browser. The logbook keeps flights in your browser’s own storage and never sends a flight, a name or an aircraft registration to a server. There are no accounts. Browser storage can be erased by the browser or by you, so the logbook offers a backup file and a CSV export, and we suggest you keep one.

What it is not

Winghours is a planning aid. It is not flight planning software, not a navigation source and not approved by any aviation authority. The pilot in command remains responsible for every figure. Where a page quotes a regulation, it names the section and the date we read it. A logbook layout on this site follows the published rules for what a logbook must contain, but no authority has certified it.

How the tools are checked

Formulas are written once in plain code, and the same code gives the answers on the page and in the tests. The tests use reference values calculated by hand or taken from the standard atmosphere. Material from other sources, such as the OurAirports airport data, is listed on the credits page.

Advertising and analytics

The site shows no advertising and loads no analytics. The privacy policy says exactly what is stored.
