Privacy Policy

Here is what happens to information when you use winghours.com. Your flights, names and aircraft never reach us or any other service: the logbook and every calculator run in your browser. The site has no accounts, no forms, no analytics and no advertising.

Who is responsible

This website is operated by SKYSEED TECH LLC. For any privacy-related inquiries, please contact support@winghours.com.

Your logbook and settings

The logbook saves flights in your browser’s IndexedDB storage, and the calculators keep a few preferences, such as your last units, in local storage so they are there when you return. We cannot see this data. You can delete a flight in the logbook, delete everything with the reset command, or clear it with your browser’s site-data settings. Browser storage can also be cleared by the browser or by you, which is why the logbook offers a backup file and a CSV export. A file you save is written by your browser to a place you choose.

Some calculators put their inputs in the page address after the question mark, so that a link recreates a result. If you share such a link, you share those numbers. The logbook never puts flights in an address.

Airport and time data

The airport search and the time zone tools load a data file from this site and look up places on your device. The place you search for is not sent to us. The time zone converter uses your browser’s own time zone data.

Email and server logs

If you email us, we receive the address and the message, and we use them only to reply and to keep a record of corrections. Please do not attach your logbook. The web server our host operates also records standard technical data for each request (IP address, time, page requested, browser name), for security and to keep the site running. Logs are kept for a limited period.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Winghours sets no cookies, shows no advertising and loads no analytics. If that changes, this page will be updated first and the date below the title will change.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK, we process the email you send us on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering you. You may access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of personal data about you, ask for portability where it applies, and complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office). Because we hold no accounts, we can usually only identify data you have emailed us. Residents of California and some other US states may know what personal information is collected, ask for its deletion or correction, and opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. The tools work without anyone giving us any information.

Retention and security

Email is kept only as long as needed to handle your message. The site is served over HTTPS.

Changes

We will change this page if what the site does changes, and we will update the date below the title.
